Research Energy and Industrial Systems Optimisation
The research topics developed in the Energy and Industrial Systems Optimisation group are interdisciplinary in nature. The main lines of study are:
- Optimisation of the use of renewable energy production and balancing of flows to and from the energy distribution network, taking into account aspects relating to technology but not forgetting those relating to economics, entrepreneurship and social issues.
- Consumption forecasting techniques, to be used in the context of the algorithms described above to improve energy management and sustainability.
- Optimisation of industrial production systems through computational intelligence algorithms.
